ITINERARY
Overview
Salento shows its own charm all year round. In addition to Baroque Art Cities that you can visit in every season, you can enjoy the beautiful sea in the Summer and the collection of the variety of oil in the Fall and the Winter.
Here you will be staying at a family-owned bed and breakfast masseria in Castiglione surrounded by 11 hectares of olive trees 2 miles away from the beautiful Adriatic Sea. The dinner will be provided by the owners who also manage a small restaurant where traditional handmade dishes made from the produces grown in the farm are served.
You will experience a travel back in time to a peaceful masseria with organic gardens and farms and even take a cooking class where you get to use the ingredients straight from the farm.

The tour is only for individuals or small groups, never more than 4 people for each date.
Airport pick up and drop off at Bari Airport available on request at an extra charge.

Day 1 – Brindisi
Meet our driver at the airport and head to the farmhouse. After checking in you will be shown around the property. After a short break, you will be taken to the tour around the farmhouse and the mill where Emilio will explain the traditional oil producing procedures followed by an oil tasting. The dinner provided at the farmhouse will be cooked with the vegetables harvested from the farm on site.
Day 2 – Castro, Santa Maria Di Leuca
After breakfast, you will head to the historic center of Castro along the Adriatic coast with stops at Acquaviva marina and Marina serra. After a free time in Castro, enjoy the lunch at one of the many local restaurants. In the afternoon, you will be guided to Santa Maria di Leuca, a town located on the east side of Italy, with a stop at Ciolo bridge. Return to the farmhouse and enjoy a relaxing free time. Seafood cooked in a traditional method will be served as dinner.
Day 3 – Gallipoli, Lecce
After breakfast, enjoy the excursion along the Ionian coast and a visit at Gallipoli, a coastal town in Apulia, southern Italy. The historic center on an island off the coast is the home of churches like beautiful St. Agatha’s Cathedral with the ornate facade and the Church of St. Mary of Purity with maiolica tiled floor. At Gallipoli Castle, you can see Rivellino tower, standing apart from the main building. Across the bridge, on the mainland, lies a gorgeous Greek Fountain, dating from the Renaissance era. Take a free time and enjoy local food afterwards. Return to the farmhouse and take a break. In the afternoon, visit Lecce, the pearl of the Baroque. A professional guide will give you a tour and you will be taken to a Neapolitan pizzeria to taste the real Italian pizza for dinner.
Day 4 – Alberobello, Ostuni
After breakfast, head to Valle d’ Itria and enjoy a tour around the town of Alberobello with a professional guide. Alberobello, an Unesco World Heritage Site, is known for its unique landscape and the traditional white houses called “Trulli” that are once used as storage and housing. After a free time for shopping at the town and lunch, head to Ostuni, a popular summer resort town. Here you will find a beautiful city center and called White City. Enjoy a guided tour around the town. Return to the farmhouse and enjoy the dinner.
Day 5 – Maglie, Gastronomin Tour
After breakfast, head to Maglie and visit the most notable agro-food artisan workshops including a pasta factory, a mozzarella cheese factory where you can try the famous “Burrata,” and a chocolatier. Take a free time in Maglie. In the afternoon, visit a local historic wine cellar and enjoy wine tasting. Return to the farm and attend a cooking class with chef Emilio to learn how to cook fresh pasta and “salentina,” a homemade pasta dish. Enjoy the dinner at the farmhouse with what you made during the class.
Day 6 – Otranto, Porto Badisco, Zinzulusa Cave
After Breakfast, head to the Adriatic coast with a stop at Otranto, the home of the 15th-century Aragonese Castle and 11th-century Otranto Cathedral decorated with rose windows and ornate mosaic floorings. At Torre Matta tower located at the harbor, enjoy the breathtaking views and head to the city for a free time and lunch. Take a short stop at the bay of Orte before heading to Porto Badisco, the small fisherman’s villages, and Porto Miggiano. Take a visit to the prehistoric sea cave, Zinzulusa Cave. Return to the farmhouse and enjoy the farewell dinner.
Day 7 – Departure, Brindisi
After breakfast, check out. Private transfer to the airport or Brindisi/Lecce train station.

Polices
1. Before a booking is confirmed, Elite Turkey Tours reserves the right to amend brochure prices due to any circumstances outside the control of Elite Turkey Tours such as but not limited to changes relating to governmental action, increases in transportation costs (including schedule airfares and the cost of fuel) changes in any dues, taxes or fees chargeable for services (including landing taxes or embarkation/disembarkation fees at airports), increases in admission fees and exchange rates.
2. Bank transfers are accepted as the full amount payable as published. Elite Turkey Tours accepts Credit Card, Paypall payments in US dollars.Elite Turkey Tours accepts no responsibility for variations in the final transaction amount due to fees and exchange rates used by banking institutions.
3. Product information is published by Elite Turkey Tours in good faith and Elite Turkey Tours will use its best endeavours to operate all Products as advertised. Elite Turkey Tours reserves the right to change any of the facilities and services described in its publications and to substitute alternative arrangements of comparable monetary value without compensation and accepts no liability for loss of enjoyment resulting from any change.
Amendments and Cancellations by Clients
1. Clients can cancel at any time. The cancellation will be effective as at the time that Elite Turkey Tours receives a written request from the Agent or for direct bookings from the Client, and the following cancellation charges will apply.
1. More than 50 days prior to departure – 65% of the product cost or 40 GBP, whichever is higher.
2. 48 to 45 days prior to departure – 75% of the product cost or 40 GBP, whichever is higher.
3. 40 to 35 days prior to departure – 85% of the product cost or 40 GBP, whichever is higher.
4. 0 to 35 days prior to departure – no refund is given.
5. No refund is given for a partially used Product.
2. After the booking has been confirmed proposed amendments must be written by ‘the Lead Client’ and will incur an administration fee of equivalent to GBP 30.00 except for the first change that will incur no fee or as otherwise agreed. No requested change can be guaranteed.
3. If any number of the party is prevented from travelling because of death, injury or serious illness of the client, close relative or friend, redundancy or jury service, it may be possible to transfer the booking to another suitable person or departure date or tour of similar standard and cost provided that written notice is confirmed by Elite Turkey Tours.
4. If a refund is payable by Elite Turkey Tours to the Client, the refund amount will be calculated according to the conditions set out in Section 2.1 and with consideration of evidence of exceptional circumstances. All bank fees incurred for processing/transferring the credited amount to the client will be the responsibility of the client.
5. In the event that a minimum number product fails to secure sufficient bookings on any departure date, Elite Turkey Tours will inform the Client or Client’s Agent. In such a case the Client will be given the option of changing to an alternative date or Product of comparable value or upgrading to another tour or a refund of all monies paid. In this case, Elite Turkey Tours will use their best endeavours to find a suitable alternative.

Cancellation By Elite Turkey Tours
1. All Elite Turkey Tours Products are subject to a minimum number of participants except for Guaranteed Departure Products listed in Clause 17.
2. Elite Turkey Tours reserves the right to cancel any confirmed booking in any circumstances, however, Elite Turkey Tours will not cancel a Guaranteed Departure Product except in the unusual circumstances of force majeure, defined here as war, threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial dispute, terrorist activity, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, flight cancellation or any other external circumstances beyond the control of Elite Turkey Tours. Compensation is not available if Elite Turkey Tours is forced to cancel or in any way change a tour due to force majeure but where Elite Turkey Tours is unable to provide the tour booked, Elite Turkey Tours will return to the Client all monies paid to Elite Turkey Tours (less any insurance premiums paid) or offer an alternative date or holiday of comparable standard.
Elite Turkey Tours accepts bookings subject to the following Booking Conditions.
1. A ‘Client’ is all persons named on the booking form intending to travel with Elite Turkey Tours.
2. A ‘Product’ is any service sold by Elite Turkey Tours.
3. All Clients will be deemed to have read, understood and accepted all Booking Conditions.
4. To confirm a booking Elite Turkey Tours requires that the agent has taken full payment of all monies due. A contract between the Client and Elite Turkey Tours comes into existence when Elite Turkey Tours has confirmed the booking in writing and issued a Confirmation. The person signing the booking form (that incorporates these terms and conditions) warrants that s/he has full authority to do so on behalf of all persons whose names appear thereon, and confirms that all such persons are fully aware of and understand these terms and conditions. The said contract, including all matters rising from it, is subject to Turkish Law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Turkish Courts.
No employees or representatives of Elite Turkey Tours has any right to alter, vary or waive any of these terms and conditions, nor to undertake any liability whatsoever on behalf of Elite Turkey Tours, unless such be in writing and signed by the Director of Elite Turkey Tours. Elite Turkey Tours reserves the right to decline any booking at their discretion without further explanation.
5. When booking 50 % of the product cost is expected. 60 days before the trip rest of the amount is expected.
